It seems to be specific to the NTSC version of Pikmin 2, you'll notice too if you try watching the whole intro video that it crashes there as well. I was stuck in the same position you were as the last few levels of the game are "after" the credits. In the end, I had to download a PAL version of the game and start from the beginning again Sad

There are only a slight few differences between the two versions, none that should be bothersome anyway. Just to note, I tried many different ways of transferring my saved game over to the other version i.e. save state copy/editing, memory card save state copying though to no avail on any of the attempts.

Yes yes, I know this is an old topic, but better to just post here intead of making a topic for the exact same thing and keep the boards less cluttered.

I am having the exact same problem as the topic creator and others have. I googled for a solution and came to this topic. I read through and the best answer was 'Only PAL works, so start over" now I have no problem with that, my next play through on Dolphin will probably be PAL version, but for now I do not want my data to be lost. So I have tried many things to figure out how to get it to work. To test I have simply been playing the opening scene to see if it works (When I played the game I just skipped it) I have tried many setting, 3 different revisions (6970, 6321, and 7406, I was playing through the game with 6970 because it has been the only one to run my games the best [SMash Bros, and the Pikmin games]) I have even tried on my other more powerful computer (I am playing on my laptop so I can play it when I'm at my father's house or on the go, other wise I'd just play it on the Gamecube) and nothing has worked.

My problem with this is that some people have stated they have no problem. Nothing, so obviously something works. I'm thinking atleast one of the revisons works through the credits. If you could tell me which ones you have gotten to work that'd be great. It dosen't even have to run fast, I have luckily gotten it times so that my last save was when I came out of a cave, then I go get the last over world piece for the level and the ending begins, so I can be laggy as hell, if it takes me an hour to move from one side of the level to the next, that is fine, I just need to get the piece, watch the scene, save and continue playing on 6970.

Thanks in advanced, I signed up just for this and I hope to find a great community hereBig Grin

Edit: I was just looking around the forums and I saw the Dolphin 3.0 release, so the first thing I decide to test is of course, Pikmin 2. Unfortunatly it has not worked. Although this is only one my laptop, I am away from home for today so I will not be able to test it, but have any of you gotten it to work with Dolphin 3.0 maybe it is my computer or settings? If you get it to work could you tell me your settings (And of course version used)

Bump, because there must be a solution. Some people have no problems with this.
