Also, is there a way to just download the updates to Dolphin instead of downloading the entire new application and transferring stuff? Sorry, noob here lol.

All your settings and important data are stored permanently in the documents/dolphin directory so when you downloaded the latest development version you can just delete that folder when a new one is available. That's what I do.

Have you change any of Dolphin's settings if so try resetting them to default? By default anything that needs to be changed for the game you want to currently run will be applied on a per-game basis. So by default everything should be fine.

As far as the textures you could try converting them to DDS BC7 for better performance if that is contributing to the lag. I wouldn't think that his textures wouldn't include the cut scenes, that would be weird if he added those in and I could image the game seriously lagging if the was the case.

For some reason using the DDS download instead of PNG fixed it. What is the difference between them?

Also, what folder are you saying I should delete when updating?

The DDS version is compressed and uses less video memory. Your performance issues are likely related to running out of such.

When you go to the downloads page and download the latest development version for windows, that folder (containing the dolphin executable in it) you can delete when you later need to update and download a newer development version.

The Pikmin 2 60fps patch is no longer working in the most current version of Dolphin. Game freezes right after selecting save game.

Did you also use the patch before saving the game? Some games/patches do not like being suddenly enhanced or activated, especially FPS patches (is my experience)
Does it work in an older version, and if so, what is the exact version that it stopped working (no range, only the exact version)?
Check my profile for up to date specs.

The texture pack has been updated. Hurray!

Changes in 1.2.0b (2018-12-02):
* Removed unnecessary / unaltered textures from the download version to reduce file size.
* Improved texture quality with the modern BC7 DDS image format!
* You can now install this texture pack to any region version of Pikmin 2 GCN without having to rename the texture pack folder.
* All textures are now in labeled folders to make updating easier for me and potential texture contributors.
