R4470. I've tried it in several different revisions, but it was always the same. No issues like this in other games, not even in pikmin 2 as far as I can tell, just this one. upping the gamma helps make it bright enough to play the game, but it still doesn't look quite like it's supposed to. I'll keep looking for another fix, but for now I guess I can live with changing the gamma whenever I want to play the game. Thanks for the tip.

EDIT: Found another quasi-fix. Post-processing shader -> "brighten" Tongue
still, it's a bit of workaround and doesn't go to the root of the problem, besides the fact that it doesn't exactly speed things up...

What kind of video card do you have?
Are you sure you are using the latest drivers (from the manufacturer, not microsoft)?
What OS?
32-bit or 64-bit OS?
32-bit or 64-bit Dolphin?

Nvidia GeForce 9400M
I'm using a new Macbook Pro, so as far as I know the drivers should be up-to-date
OSX 10.5
32-bit dolphin build

btw, after doing more research, it seems like I'm just having a problem with the lighting in the game. Everything seems to be in the same low light, as if Dolphin is just not using extra lighting at all...

It could be a driver issue or (more likely) something with Dolphin on the Mac.

Do you build dolphin yourself from SVN or use a binary?

I build it myself, but I also have this issue when I run any prebuilt version in Crossover, although that still could have to do with using a mac. I'll research the driver thing and see if I can fix it.
