Well, either my luck has turned or the dev's had seen my post.

PIKMIN WORKS!!!

works perfectly with full sound, graphics and sound effects, great work guys!

however....

I still have the issue of NJoy not detecting the right thumbstick Y-axis motion on my old xbox controller that I have spliced to USB. It makes no sense, it is accepted to be working in windows, and i can see the motion that it sends, but NJoy just cant pick it up for some reason.

So, this is partially a thanks thread and part a support one. mods, you choose where to move this, if it needs moving Big Grin

pikmin wii or gc ?

gc(ntsc) runs good, i can confirm that, but i thought it always was good.

only problem : savegames dont work anymore at some point (game just does not save), but savestates seem to work good.

i already made it through ~70% of the game without any crash !

oh, and we better dont speek of performance...its terrible as frameskip does not work without inserting black frames...

about stick : do you use njoy 0.3 or 0.4 ?
Dolphin with Quadcore Support soon ? ....Attention : knowledge inside

Bah, i finished it 100% without any issue Big Grin (didn't have the memcard issue) speed was fine most of the time often fullspeed, though it gets worse when there's a lot of pikmin.
And there's still some minor sound issues too

The PAL version doesn't boot though :/

I am using Njoy v.3

As I have even more difficulty with .4, on the account of it not existing?...

EDIT: looking at an exact same problem to mine, it seems to have been adressed and a fix is shown. trying it now...

WORKS!

"Yes, renaming SDL.dll to SDL_old.dll and SDL.1.3.dll to just plain SDL.dll
does temporarily fix the problem. With that being said however, you will need to
reconfigure all njoy controllers or keyboards. Whatever you are using for input. Like
as said above if you do not, the axis's will be reversed and other buttons will be
screwed up. Easiest way is just to redo all the settings."

This solves the problem of the right joystick not working.

If possible, can someone change the topic name to "Getting Xbox Controller's Working in NJoy"?

Pikmin, here i come! (again Big Grin)

I want to play pikmin too but I ran into some sort of trouble. I'm running on revision 4389 with the DX9 plugin. The first day was all fine, but when I proceeded to day 2 and tried to land in the forest of hope, the game crashed. And it does that every time, but not at the exact same moment. Sometimes my ship has almost landed and sometimes the scene has barely started. But I can never make it past the landing sequence without the emulator crashing on me. Is there some option I have to turn off or on?

I belive you mean pikmin 2?

I had the same issue, go to your graphics settings and change safe texture cache.

Should work now.

Nope, I did mean pikmin 1. and enabling safe texture cache doesnt seem to fix it.

the only way i can make the game continue is by turning off just about every option that would speed up the game (like dual core support, and some other stuff) but of course this slows the game to a crawl whcih isnt really playable.

i tried turning all those options on and off one at a time, but i cant seem to figure out which one makes the difference, maybe its a combination of something

Sandokhan: best to start a new thread, rather than resurrecting an old dead thread about a different issue.

Is anybody having the same issue as me? The game is fully playable for me except for some speed issues that can be fixed with the frameskipper. However, it's a lot darker for some reason. Dark enough to make it very hard to play in the Forest Navel. Has anybody else had this issue, and does anybody have a fix?
This is in openGL.

What revision? I had no issues with that using OpenGL. Have you tried upping your Gamma settings (most likely in your vid card settings)? How bout updating your video drivers?
