Picto Box Crashes Wind Waker and Pull Stars not working om Mario Galaxy

Hi,

I have a samsung S9 and updated my android version of Dolphin to 5.0-9795 and noticed a gameplay critical issue with my wind waker game.

Whenever I use my picto-box item, it crashes my game. The shutter of the pictobox closes, the game lags, and then the app closes itself.

I also have another gameplay critical issue with Super mario galaxy. I can use the IR pointer fine, but it wont let me grab pull stars! I cannot enter a level without them!

Is anyone else having these issues? How can I fix them? Where can I find the crash logs for wind waker?

Also, when can I expect cheats to become avaliable on android? Can somebody add this to the next version? I love gecko and AR codes!

Those issues are caused by EFB access from CPU not working. If you haven't been fiddling with the game-specific INI files, the underlying cause is probably a graphics driver problem.

Did it not happen in earlier versions of Dolphin, or is the fact that you updated incidental?

Cheats do work, but you have to add them manually in INI files for now. There's no ETA for when there'll be a GUI for it.

Try the other graphics backend. If that doesn't work... Pray that the manufacturer will release a driver update, I guess.

I tried the things you suggested by switching my video backend and disabling skip EFB access, none seemed to work for mario galaxy. I will try them with the wind waker. Open GL works best. Using vulkan fixed the pictobox issue. Thanks!

Hi,

I have a couple of questions I would like to ask.


I tried the different video backends for Super mario galaxy to fix the pull star issue (none of which worked)  so I am unable to play the game at the moment.

However, I did try using the Vulkan video backend with super mario galaxy 2, and the IR pointer works. It has significantly greater lag and stuttering than it did with Open GL.

Is there any manual way I can fix the IR issue in open GL, or reduce lag in Vulkan?  (My current dolphin.ini should be attached to this post)

Also, is there a way to create custom touch screen buttons so I can play without a controller? I would love to make one that does a spin jump or tilts the virtual wiimote, so I can play without using a controller.

If there is currently no way to make customizable buttons, could you please add that to a later version of dolphin ASAP? It would be very helpful.

The pictobox "picture" crash is do efb texture being stored in ram . Does it happen with the deluxe pictobox ? That would indicate its the immediate black/white from color frame draw .
