Also keep in mind your frame of comparison – if you compare an average Intel laptop CPU to an average Atom *at the same clockspeed*, the Atom's still a lot slower. Atom's simply missing a lot of things that full-size CPUs have. Just because Atom runs Dolphin "well" in your opinion doesn't mean shit.
tl;dr, you know nothing, go read AnandTech analyses of Atom chipsets.
