Well, you certainly missed the point there. Just because you think Atom isn't awful doesn't mean it truly isn't – the only reason the Atom runs Dolphin any better than an equivalent ARM device is due to the ARM JITs not receiving nearly as much attention as the x86 JIT. All else being equal, the only thing Atom ever beats anything in is browser benchmarks.
Also keep in mind your frame of comparison – if you compare an average Intel laptop CPU to an average Atom *at the same clockspeed*, the Atom's still a lot slower. Atom's simply missing a lot of things that full-size CPUs have. Just because Atom runs Dolphin "well" in your opinion doesn't mean shit.
