Am I going crazy or has every revision of dolphin since 2.0 been getting slower and slower? Maybe I'm just not setting it up properly or maybe my hardware just isn't powerful enough to run any game at a decent speed. Here's how Dolphin is currently configured: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh137/Nintendo1889/dolphin_settings.jpg (SVN 5879 x86). Games that used to run at 60 fps (such as Super Smash Bros and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle) no longer do. I know that the gamecube are wii are incredibly difficult to emulate (mostly due to poor documentation on Nintendo's part) and can be as, if not more, demanding than PCSX2. What would be a decent configuration for my system? See, I'm convinced I somehow screwed up the configuration to the point of making games run very slow. If only there were builds that were optimized for running on SSE4.1 CPUs....

You should visit lectrode's thread in the svn discussion section. He compiles sse4.1 builds but it's not gonna give you a big performance boost tho if any.

Well, if I knew which one was the fastest, then I'd stick to that SVN, would I not? There are always 20,000,000 different SVN compilations out there, how in blazes am I expected to find "the right one for me"?

I mean the fastest you have tried.

The fastest I've tried? That's the problem, I don't recall which SVN build worked fastest for me (it must have been before 2.0 was released, or before SVN 5000). Games like Sonic Adventure use to run at least 45fps, but now runs at a pathetic 23fps on average; only the menus run at 60fps. Like I asked earlier, does my computer NOT meet the minimum specifications or what!?

Would that really help me get any increase in speed? What configuration guide should I follow, because it seems that they all contradict each other. And no, I will not overclock my CPU or GPU. As far as I'm concerned, no emulator is worth voiding the warranty.

For speed get revision 51xx,for accuracy use lastest rev
I'm using r5186 SSSE3 64bit and get fullspeed with most game include 2 game you discussed above
Upgrade to windows 7 64bit and use SSE4.1 built will boost your FPS 10-25%
You can get r5186 multi-path (SSE3-SSSE3-SSE4.1) here : http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-6629.html
I'm pretty sure this one is fastest rev,yep it faster than dolphin 2.0(r53xx)
