Performance got worse with new Gfx Card? o.O

So, switched from Ati Radeon HD card to a better GeForce GTX 750 card.

Now, dolphin won't use the card at all, it all gets forced onto the CPU, which runs super hot.

How do I force dolphin to use my graphics card and chill on the cpu, if possible.

Thanks!

Radeon HD what?

In general dolphin performs better on radeon cards.

Also, dolphin is incredibly CPU heavy there's no way to decrease it's usage without lowering the settings.

Did you make sure to remove old ATI drivers and install NVIDIA drivers?

Are you sure the card is being read and recognized by the system, as well as Dolphin? Also you can't just "force" Dolphin to put all of its load on the GPU because, after all, the CPU is what makes it run in the first place
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

thanks for the replies. I know it can detect the nvidia card because I can select it in the settings. I'm just asking about it because the card isn't stressing at all whereas my cpu fans are on max RPMs.

Yeah, ATI drivers are completely gone and NVIDIA drivers are running. It detects the card, just the nvidia card doesn't seem to be doing anything >_>

That really makes sense. Dolphin is a CPU intensive application; your new GPU may be low power mode (check the GPU clocks?) and if you go into the NVIDIA control panel, and go to global settings, and set "prefer maximum performance" you can make sure it kicks into high power mode. Even if it does, don't expect it to run hot unless you're cranking up max settings, and even then you're more likely to be hit by CPU limitedness before being GPU limited.
