People familiar with Smashbox/Brawlbox

Is there anyway to use them properly on a 64bit system, im trying to do some SFX replacement and it's incredibly frustrating when you have to guess what sound is what (Neither of them play the wave file sounds on 64bit systems) and by the end if it doesn't work you have to start all over again guessing.
