Of course, i know about intel's devil canyon (the i5, i7 and pentium g3258) back in the day i remember those were the most suitable for emulation; the pentium was amazing and a cheap choice, the i5 4690k is the best in terms of price, and the i7 for those who want the extra cores. But i cannot buy 2 PC components, so it will have to be the one i'm trading (to get the cpu) and buy a GPU.
If money wasn't an issue i'd buy an i7 7700k, and perhaps a better graphics card. But for me it's just not possible.
