Hi, recently my SO bought me a pdobq gamecube adapter on the 16th and its been working fine since then to last night-- until today, I went to boot up Dolphin and my controller/adapter doesn't work. I went into the configure controllers menu and it says

[disconnected] DInput/0/Gamecube Controller Adapter

I've been reading for a way to fix the issue, but from what I've gathered is that Dolphin really doesn't like third party adapters. Has anyone found a way to resolve this? Otherwise I'm just going to use the Mayflash i just bought.

I've tried using Zadig, thinking it was the driver, since recently i was attempting to set up Project 64 for my SO and I'm wondering if i tweaked the settings too much.

If the adapter has a PC mode, it should work in that mode (with Dolphin set to "Standard Controller") as long as you do not use Zadig, even if Dolphin doesn't work with the adapter in Wii U mode. If you have ran Zadig while the adapter was in PC mode, you should undo that. You can accomplish this by using "uninstall device" in the Device Manager.

With that in mind, there have been fixes to Dolphin relatively recently that should make third-party adapters other than Mayflash work with Dolphin in Wii U mode. So you could try running Zadig when the adapter is in Wii U mode and setting Dolphin to "GameCube Adapter for Wii U".

I did the uninstall in device manager shortly after this and it worked just fine, saved myself 36 bucks!
