Question
hi everyone

1st of all excuse my bad English

i was playing zleda skyward sword and all of a sudden my pc was shut down after approximately 5-10 mins of playing.

that never happened when i was using a normal wiimote (without motion plus built in) and never happened while using the motion plus accessory with the normal wiimote.

it only happens when using the TR wiimote (with motion plus built in).

i thought this might happen because of the game it self so i tried to play wiisport resort and guess what... same problem.

my pc specs are:
intel i7 @ 3.40
nvedia geforce GT 430 @ 2.00 GB
kingstone 16.0 GB RAM
Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

and i'm currently using Dolphin 3.0-878-dirty with the default settings but enabled the dual core thing.

is it the TR wiimote that causing the problem??

if not, can anyone help solving this???

I think it's pretty obvious that connecting a Wii-mote to a PC would never crash the PC. Something else is going on there, either overheating or power failure.

Most likely it's like Starscream said. Neither Dolphin or the connected Wiimote can shutdown Windows just like that.
It's something you have gotten into your PC (virus or something), the PC is overheating or it's a power failure.

Motherboard failure could also do it.

Have you solved your problem? Cause i'm having some similar issue: After a while of playing Monster Hunter Tri (Which runs very slow ¿?) my screen turns black, the sound loops and the PC restarts by itself. I'm really concerned by this cause i cannot get any answer. It happens watching Google Chrome fullscreen videos too.

I play The Witcher 2, Crysis 2, Far Cry 3 at full performance with no problems.

My thread, pleasxe help me: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-monster-hunter-tri-pc-crash-bluescreen-error

faulty overclock perhaps.

i only got random pc shutdowns when my last motherboard was dieing or when i overclocked my ram to high. and it would powercycle.

if you are overclocked make sure they are 100% stable.. or revert back to stock settings.

Basically what SS said. Games like these use a high amount of CPU usage and the PC might overheat and auto shut down. To fix this, you can clean up your CPU from dust, and if your PC is older than 2 years, apply a thermal paste on your fans. You can refer to several online guides regarding doing the above stated stuff. :3

You're going to want to apply thermal paste to your CPU, then you will reattach your heatsink and fan. Yeah, I just had to make sure people don't go smearing thermal paste all over their fans. It's the internet, you never know. Tongue
