FYI, if you use older versions of Dolphin (specifically, anything older than 3.5-1154) you won't be able to run the game with HLE – it hangs at the start of an operation. You'd need to use LLE, which is quite a bit slower and kinda negates any performance gain you'd get from using an older version.

You may want to try the OpenGL backend – there's been a recent change in it that should give a pretty substantial speedup for any Windows users with AMD GPUs. (The default D3D backend is now likely slower.)
