So... i downloaded Dolphin about a month ago,, Started Playing Xenoblade Chronicles, Shift F1 - f7 saves were great, i reached the point where High Entia king is killed.. anyway.. 2 days back my laptop crashed. i took out harddisk looked for save state folder and copied it on my flashdrive. reinstalled windows, downloaded new version of Dolphin but it wont load gave from save states.

when i press F1, it says  ""can't load state from other revisions "

issue is i dont remember which version of dolphin i downloded before and played game on.. i am going nuts here tried several versions but still same issue Sad

Savestates are never a good idea, you should use ingame saves

Can you upload a savestate here so that I can look at it? It should be possible to find roughly what version of Dolphin you were using, but it's a bit complicated.

According to the first save state, you were using a version between 4.0-5531 and 4.0-5809. I'm not sure if all versions in that range will work, but it's possible. Just try a few of them and see if it works. Once you find a version that works, you can make an in-game save, and then you can update to the newest version and load the in-game save if you want to.
