Hi dudes,

I've been trying to figure getting this all working for ages. I've finally got it working fine but I can't solve this audio issue. Audio seems to be fine except anything that runs longer than 30 seconds or so (music, cutscenes) start getting choppy. I've read this thread and heaps of others and I've downloaded so many goddam revisions of dolphin, some crash, some don't, some have weird settings, etc etc.

My revision is working fine except for the audio problem, which apparently there is a patch or audio hack for.

What revision should I currently be using? Specs follows;

Game: Xenoblade PAL patched 30fps
CPU: 2500k
GPU 580ti
RAM: 8gb
Framerate: 30fps 100% flawless
Stable revision: 3.0-508 [Patch Xenoblade HLE Hack 3.1] (with music crackles after 30 secs)

Cheers dudes I know you've been around the bend with this

I absolutely can't get the audio issue to go away. The sound stutters almost constantly. The only times it doesn't is traversing simply overworld maps and in the first half of the title screen (second half stutters.) The moment a cutscene or battle starts, the audio stutter is completely unplayable, it's like an aural strobe light. I'm on WinXP 32bit and have tried using both versions of the hacked Dolphin to run this to no avail. I've used HLE audio, enabled and disabled audio throttle, tired all the different audio engines ... pretty sure I've clicked the hell out of every audio option and nothing I do seems to have any affect whatsoever onto the quality of sound. Except using any sound other than HLE, which makes no sound at all.

My computer specs are definitely pretty pathetic

(Operating System: Windows XP Home 32bit
Processor/CPU: Intel Dual-Core E4600 @ 2.40GZ
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT
Memory/RAM: 3070MB RAM)

but my video performance is fine and my FPS rarely dips below 20. Increasing/decreasing video performance does not affect the audio in either direction despite affecting the video. I have tried installing the 64 bit version on my Win7 laptop, which has absolutely terrible specs (intel integrated card, eek) and the audio works fine despite the video being unplayable. I'm pretty sure the problem has to be something with dolphin but there doesn't seem to be much support on the 32 bit version.

Can anyone send me help? Desperately want to get this working!

Have you tried the build from here: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=14356&pid=203812#pid203812
plus my configuration: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=14356&pid=209538#pid209538
or other configurations from here?

Maybe you're lucky and it helps.
My Specs:
Mainboard: Asus Crosshair IV Formula | Ram: 2x2GB G.Skill Flare CL7 2000 + 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance CL7 1600 (not OCed) | GFX: Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 (not OCed)
CPU+Cooler: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T BE @ 3,72 Ghz (Auto-OCed by Mainboard) + Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B (+ 2x Enermax Everest 12cm)

Thanks, but I gave that a shot and that build actually works the worst for me of all the ones I've tried Sad The only version of Dolphin that can give me any decent audio at all is the Dolphin r6856M version. The other ones give me constant stuttering, 100% of the time Sad This version only gives it about 70%. Not ideal but yes. Thanks for the help! Anyone else have anything?

Yep got everything working for me. 5 hours in no sound issues perfect 30fps. Cheers.

(Needed to mess with DSP settings, primarily enabling HLE)

Why are you guys asking questions here?
This is the official thread for the game, where all your questions have been answered multiple times.
Talk and discuss there instead of here.

@Rosa
To put it bluntly, your CPU is too slow.
You should try to overclock it, if you're able to, to around 3.2GHz or so to maintain a more stable FPS AND decreasing the chance of experiencing the audio stutters.

Furthermore, what build are you using?
Did you use the same builds (with the only difference being the 32/64-bits ofcourse) with your laptop/desktop?
Right-click the game in the browser, and enable V-Beam Emulation.
This should improve your speed a bit.

Post your problem, pc configuration and such (if you're still having problems) in the thread above.

Not everyone is autistic and able to to through 100+ pages to only hopefully find answers to a specific problem.

This is a thread related to the audio hack.

What the hell are you talking about.

Your problem isn't specific at all, thousands of people have had the same issue and have gotten the same answers over and over.
You are just extremely lazy to use the search function of the forum.

Quote:This is a thread related to the audio hack.
And your question has nothing to do with the audio hack.
