Quote:If your Wii is above version 4.0, you can use an SDHC card since that is when SDHC support was added. The .dol won't show up in the homebrew channel menu because there are other files that are necessary in order for the homebrew channel to recognize it as an "app". However, there are many homebrew applications that can launch .dol files. WiiExplorer is a good choice for this.

Nope, none of this is correct.

The homebrew channel will load anything saved on a 2GB or smaller card saved in [root of drive]/apps/[app name]/Boot.dol

It cannot load from SDHC on any menu version.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

I just checked again and renaming it to boot.dol will allow it to be loaded by the Homebrew channel. However, without a meta.xml or icon.png, it will just appear as a blank entry at the end of the homebrew list, so look for it there.

AnyOldName3: I am using a 4GB SDHC card and it works fine. It looks like the compatibility differs depending on the card. (Edit: I did a few tests, and if using a MicroSD(HC) card, the adapter matters as well)

I only have one type of adapter, but three types of card, and one of the 8GB is actually compatible according to that list, so maybe I'll try again, with all of my cards. I may get it working.

I was having trouble on a mac and was able to rebuild dolphin's latest codebase with the patch. (r722480 in git) It works great.

You can grab the MacOSX build here:

DOLPHIN 3-0-496 with Xenoblade HLE Fix

For 64-bit Windows: http://www.embedupload.com/?d=2YEFIIFFBF

For 32-bit Windows: http://www.embedupload.com/?d=2GKSYTYZDJ

You might need 7-ZIP to extract the archive, just google it.

I have tried numerous fixes for the game, and this build is the most recent dolphin I tried. The game ran super sluggishly (like 15fps) and the sound was stuttering/repetitive nonsense. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, if there are settings he neglected to mention that I had to change? My computer is pretty good I should be able to run this 30fps just fine.

I applied the 30fps patch to my iso, I don't know if that matters.

If anyone can help me I'd be much obliged I'm VERY frustrated

If that helps, in game-specific settings I switched on Accurate VBeam Emulation and Block Merging.
Graphics-wise, I Skip EFB Access from CPU and Ignore Format Changes. Texture Cache accuracy is somewhere from Safe to middle. Disable the XFB. I also have fast mipmaps, disabled Per-Pixel Depth and use OpenMP.

I'm getting a pretty stable max fps (25 in my case) in most areas, some big cities and the like can go down to 20-22 fps unless you point the camera to the ground.

I have a Q8400 processor, which is a 2.66 GHz quad-core, so it's not exactly powerful. The 3-0-496 revision runs pretty smoothly

Guys there are no instructions on how to use this patch. Would someone be kind enough to tell us how to use this thang? I'm new at using these sorts of patches so please give step by step instructions.

Did you use the 30 fps patch or no?
And what did you do to fix sound, you didn't mention that
