This is Paper Mikeytale, the largest, most ambitious Super Paper Mario Hack to date, with over 3,000+ new texture assets, an entire, reworked script, and a whole new original soundtrack by Nicholas Koopman, Paper Mikeytale is designed to be a fresh, new experience that uses the Super Paper Mario Engine to its fullest! "What IS Paper Mikeytale" you may ask? Paper Mikeytale stars a recently graduated young group of friends, who go on a globe-trotting, road trip-like adventure to stop their old friend, Joe, who has taken over the fabric of reality. They need to bust out and get back home, to enjoy their last summer before College rolls around. A satirical take on the original SPM's story, Paper Mikeytale puts the player in the position of "what if the 'bad guys' won? Then what?" and it designed to subvert the expectations of those who played the original game.

Here's a link to the OST Preview (26 tracks)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WyIZce6Dn0

and you can play the first three chapters now!

Ooof... That looked kinda painful to watch. Poor Paper Mario.

It's great news through that modders found a way to mod Super Paper Mario as well.

I'd like if you left constructive feedback instead of dismissing the mod because it does not have "Mario" in it : | The mod is designed to be its own experience and show the capabilities of SPM Modding.

Ohh, no. The problem is not having Mario in it. I don't mind not having Mario in it. It's just as it is. There's little to say about it. It just seems off-putting. The trailer didn't really a great job on showcasing it. The visuals look odd. Well... I get that it's meant to be some kind of weird experience, but well... I just have so little to say about it since it doesn't seem that interesting at all.

Since it seems like a whole revamp from the game, you can't really rely on existing fans of SPM. It's not like a rebalancing mod, or a level redesign mod, in which case you could easily win over existing fans, since they would already know what it is about.

Don't get it the wrong way through. I do applaud you for working on a SPM mod, which is a feat in itself. Making mods is no easy task for sure.

That, and SPM is sadly one of the poorer titles in the series. The only great ones were the original and the GC sadly. But that's another issue obviously. It would be a hard task for sure to even make something great out of SPM Smile.
