This has been mentioned on the wiki, and also has a fix, but the fix refuses to work. I placed the folder in C:\Users\Rilboticus\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\G8ME01 and ticked on load custom textures. It refuses to load the textures and my punies are still fucked up. If there is a new fix or a way to get this certian fix working, i'd like to know. I can't play with the punies like this, it hurts my OCD and it just ruins it for me.

Sounds like you just placed the entire folder into Load\Textures\G8ME01. Dolphin won't search sub-folders for textures, as far as I know. The actual texture files must be in Load\Textures\G8ME01, not in any folder above or below that.

No subfolders. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-gc...#pid289188 is where I got the fix. 04-01-2014, 10:16 AM
Make sure you used the NTSC textures (verify that all the files are prefixed with G8ME01). Also verify that you're using an NTSC-U version of the game.

Game info says USA, all files are prefixed with G8ME01. Could it be my verison? I'm using the most recent. Just got it. 04-01-2014, 10:23 AM
Are you using Direct3D11 (now just called D3D)? It has known issues loading custom textures. If so, OpenGL works much better for custom texture loading, last time I checked.
If that doesn't work/isn't the cause of your issue, blame slax65. He made the textures (from a PAL game), but I doubt he tested it on anything else. I was in Direct 3D, but upon trying to load in openGL it just gives a Dolphin has stopped working, please restart program error. Going to see if my Drivers are outdated, and if they are then problem probally solved. 04-01-2014, 10:28 AM
Hmm... I don't do this often, but I would advise you to see how 4.0.2 (the latest stable build, not the latest development builds) works using OpenGL. Scroll down and download it from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

I'm actually playing that now, same thing. Packs for other games have subfolders and it does actually look through them. Or at least the ones I have. Still I emptied it out.
I knew about DX11 but I managed to forget, hadn't tried OGL. The whole thing didn't bother me too much. Besides there's other textures that wig when they loop too, just not 99 of them on screen at once lol. If you get OGL to run and it still doesn't work, try sliding the texture cache accuracy slider around. If that works then restart the game to run the gameini again and good shape. Only idea I have.
Query, is their like a yellow log thingy that shows when textures are going to be loaded?
Okay, I got the OGL working, but even after setting the cache to all 3 settings, it still refuses to load the custom textures to fix the Punies. Trying older verison of Dolphin. |
