Hey guys.
When I play chapter 2 of paper Mario ttyd using vulkan. The punies disappear if they are offscreen. This occurs when the game starts applying its internal frameskip. The game cannot be completed due to this bug. Since all the punies need to be off screen when flurrie uses her power to push them into a lake before the jabbie battle. Any way I can fix this with a setting change?

Edit: this also occurs on opengl

I'm using a galaxy note 9 if that helps

Also i think that is not a real bug.

Sometimes they disappear and you have to go back to look for them.
That happened to me a couple of times

They also disappear during cut scenes, and occasionally right after entering a room (they will be there for a second next to mario then pop out of existance). Also, I am not using save states. Opengl works a little better, but has the same issue. It could be a driver thing with my phone. I know that they are supposed to disappear when enemies are on screen, or you lose them, but this is different.

It seems to occur mostly when the games internal frame skip is triggered (unless that's my phone throttling)

I was able to get past the chapter by running in interpreter mode

The game isn't meant to skip frames internally, sounds like hte emulated CPU clock is too low or the ARMJIT is broken.

I haven't messed with the emulated clock. Must be the jit. Basically what happens is the punies pop out of existence, then the game runs really slow but the music continues as normal, which reminded me of how some games have frameskip. When certain punies disappear the game cant do cutscene right, so it gets stuck. (Like during the second jabbie battle it waits for a text box after winning the battle) Switching to interpreter fixed the issue for me.
