In the kitchen room and in the conductors room, my fps drops from 60 to 15~20 when its night time. It worked completely fine until it turned night and I'm positive it has something to due with the background. In the conductors room the fps will go to normal(60) if I go all the way to the right of the room. I would deal with the fps lag in the kitchen room but after going to the next room (to the right of the kitchen) the game just crashes. (Turns black screen) I've played the game completely fine until this point and I'm not sure what to do as I can't continue as the game keeps crashing.

Windows 8.1 Pro x64
i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00 GHz
8 GB of RAM
and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 GPU

Panic Handlers off, Enable Dual Core On. I've tried OpenGL and Direct3D 11 and both don't work.
Disable Fog On, (Tried turning it off and on doesn't work) Disable Bounding Box off, and everything on EFB is unchecked. I can take a video if someone would tell me the best way too/ if they'd like one.

Can you try the latest development build? Also, when you do, make sure bounding box is not disabled.

On the newest development build, instead of crashing when entering the next room, it crashes while in the kitchen room. Sad

Do you have the latest GPU drivers installed?

I believe so. To anybody else having this issue I fixed it by changing the XFB to Real and Texture Cache to Fast. It made the game really fuzzy/ugly but it allowed me to go into the room with no problem (60 fps) I turned it back to regular settings afterwards to make it look nicer, and if the problem happens again I'll change it once again.

When you're mucking with the graphics settings, make sure you're not doing this as the game is running, as that overrides specific settings we set internally in GameINI to make sure known games stay stable and correctly emulated with the required settings.

Yeah, anytime I would adjust the settings I would just close the game before hand and then mess with them and relaunch it every time. Thanks for the help though, the above comment fixed it for me.
