I am running the latest Dolphin Emulator (3.0-600-dirty) and despite other games like Fire Emblem, Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door refuses to work.
The emulation begins with no audio and when the menu requests that you press any button to continue, a curtain swoops through and the game stops working.

Upon googling this issue I find that no known users have run into this problem, in fact, forums and reviews state it should run fine on the latest dolphin emulator.

What is the problem?

Thank You! It worked like a charm. Game runs perfectly!

Another question: Is there any fix to the odd static noises during dialogue?

And if there are any other bugs I should expect please let me know. Thank You!

Try another Audio backend: XAudio2. And play a little bit with the sample rate.
