We're encoding Chapter 2 now and I guess we can't have Punies fixed D: I even tried dumping the Punie textures from my game and fixing them but that actually didn't work either...

I will do it tomorrow ..

Btw @hellbringer,

I dumped all flurrie textures on fast texture accuracy mode, renamed them and tested .. Only tiny textures like the eyelids are working, the rest doesn't .. So we have to use the safe-mode .. I don't have any slowdowns on safe-mode .. It must be because you are using EFB to RAM ..

EFB to RAM is required to use a texture fix to solve the punie issue (Though you yourself may beable to solve it without having it on that)
https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Paper_Mario%3A_The_Thousand-Year_Door
as explained here.
which is why i chose to use it, upload the files to the drive in a folder called incomplete (you'll have to make it) and i'll compare it to files dumped by mine, because thats the issue i ran into with your Mario, and renaming them worked for me. Possible you didn't clear out the old cache and used the wrong files?

I did this punie fix a while ago ..
You don't need EFB to RAM but this fix is messed up anyway ..
Maybe I will do the fix again today ..

Yeah, there is sure a mess on my PC with these thousands of dumped textures, but I erased all of them and dumped them again (on safe mode)

There were also some Mario textures not working for me but only like two or three ..

Guys, my advice is setting Texture Cache to Fast. In fact, this setting should be changed only if the game really needs it (like Zelda Four Sword Adventures or DKCR), which isn't the case for Paper Mario TTYD. Since you're using different Texture Cache settings, this is the reason your textures are with different names and thus, out of sync..

And I suggest using EFB to RAM because I just tested the game again and while many of the transitions works with EFB to Texture (assuming that you don't resize your rendering window after the emulation started), a small number of them is still broken unless you use EFB to RAM...

About the backend, it shouldn't matter because texture names will be the same (unless you change Texture Cache setting). Said that, when DX11 get fixed, it'll be able to enjoy the texture pack even if you have dumped the textures with OGL, for example...

Maybe the broken things can be fixed with custom textures thus no need to use EFB to RAM. By the way, does it affect the file names?

As far as I know, no, only Texture Cache affect file names. EFB to RAM may be needed to correctly dump some broken textures, so, it may be useful for you guys...

As I said, I tested it .. I dumped all textures of Flurrie once again on fast mode as you guys requested .. Then I renamed the HD textures to the fast mode names and it turned out that only the eyelids were changed (when you run the game) .. so I think when texture cache is set to fast only very small textures are changed ..

For Mario Sunshine HD textures you also need the safe mode ..
