Your profile states you're using Dolphin 4.0-8764. That build is ancient. I'm not sure if that build works with this pack. Update and try again.

This may sound like a stupid question, but you are using your username and not "username" right? Smile

I ran into a glitch where certain characters are invisible and I haven't been able to find anything on how to fix it. It specifically happens right after the opening fight when the mob jumps you; they're all invisible. Help?

When I start the emulator, I see a message in the top left that says it's loaded 0MBs of textures in 0 seconds.  The texture folder is obviously a lot bigger than 0MB!

I re-read the FAQ and it stated placing the textures folder in the C:\Users/Username/Documents/Dolphin/Load/Textures folder.  I did that and still nothing. Sad

I'm using Dolphin 5.0.7110, the PNG texture pack and I've set my internal resolution to 3X (1080p).

the game's base ID is G8M. now according to the region of your .iso, the game's ID gets some more numbers and letters added to it to show that information.

open your dolphin and right click the game and go to properties and then the info tab. look at the game ID text box and use what you find there for the name of the unpacked folder you placed into C:\Users/Username/Documents/Dolphin/Load/Textures

the organizer of the pack probably left off the region indicating codes so people can enter their own according to their version of the game.

if this doesnt help or if region didnt matter in the first place, i dont know then im sorry

@ryu1994: You need bounding box enabled in the graphics settings. Although, I have been able to reproduce this bug with it enabled if saving a state and loading it at certain points before/during the fight.

@Shoyru: You only need the first 3 digits and the pack will be work for any region. "G8M" is all that is needed (assuming the latest development versions are being used).

Update to the newest development version of Dolphin and see if it works there.

It even works in 5.0, so it's fine for pretty much everyone to only use three characters.

Yep, that is indeed ancient!  I'll have to change that.  Every time I visit the site I update to the latest dev build.

And, no, that's not a stupid question.  I worked out my issue and it turns out to be remarkably close in daftness.  Somehow, I had renamed my Load folder to Loads and the Textures folder to Texture.  I've really no idea how or when that happened!  Good news is that I've got it all working now.

Thanks so much for all the hard work and thanks for replying too. Smile

I've been playing through TTYD with this now that I have a computer than can handle running things at max enhancements on Dolphin, so I figured I'd list some of the more noticeable textures that still haven't been done yet, for those still actively working on this. It's a bit on the long side so I'm putting it under a spoiler. I've split it up into sections mostly based on chapter and/or location, as well as a 'general' section for textures that are more universal.

Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
General
- All of Bowsers' eye/eyelids/pupil textures besides the default
- Bowser in the Koopa Clown Car
- All alternate facial expressions for Bandit-type enemies
- 'blinking' frame for Boos
- At least one frame in Mario's animation for shaking his head no
- Mario's 'defend' pose
- Goombella's KO'd pose
- All parts unique to the Yoshi Kid's low health animation
- The textures for chapter numbers beyond 2
- The 'talking' frames for Lakitu NPCs
- Some pieces of Kammy while she's on her broom
- Most textures for objects that get blown away by Flurry (There's a statue you blow away in the Great Tree in Boggly Woods that's normal texture is already done where this is particularly jarring)
- The tiny image of Merlee that pops out whenever a curse effect is triggered
- The sides of the boxes that appear whenever Merlee's curses take effect
- Various textures for books in bookshelves
- Some textures used in small picture frames
- The 'Mistake' dish generated by having Zess T. cook an item (or items) that don't correspond to a recipe
- Most e-mail attached photos
- A generic 'shoe' texture used on certain Toads, including Toadette (This one'll probably be hard to find, so don't sweat it too much)
- Swoopers

Rogueport/Rogueport Underground
- the opened mouth used during the 'kitty' boos' talking animations
- The version of the 'Pianta Parlor' logo that shows up in the Plane Game
- Various bits and pieces of Frankie and Francesca, mostly in the arms and hands
- Ol' Wonky (A huh huh huh huh huh) in the Underground
- The Toad Bartender (Herb T.) in the Underground
- The pink male bob-omb in the Underground
- Grifty

Chapter 1
- The 'Peach Fanatic' Koopa's various posters
- The carpet texture used in Petalburg houses
- This one's a little complicated: There's a texture used in the part of Hooktail's castle where you're high, high up on the outside of the castle just before the boss fight that's used to show the hills far below. However, it seems the original game, for one reason or another, used a checkerboard pattern that took advantage of the low resolutions at the time to create the illusion of their appropriate color. This no longer works, but whoever did the texture kept it a checkerboard pattern. It only looks right while Mario is moving, and it's also used for the background during battles where you're stationary throughout. This really needs a fix.

Chapter 2
- The numbers on the Puni pedestals
- The torso, arms, and legs of the X-naut that gets knocked out by Ms. Mowz
- The bushes inside the Great Tree
- The 'sketch' of Mario
- The central bark of the large stump with a pipe on it below a ground-pound-able patch of floor marked out by a Puni pedestal

Chapter 3
- Some textures on the 3D version of the Blimp
- Oddly, some of the textures on the Chain Chomp statue atop the Glitz Pit are mis-matching colors. Perhaps this worked on the GC original to create a blending effect, but in High Res it doesn't.
- The large signs of Major-League fighters in front and to the side of the Glitz Pit
- The Hotdog Cut-out next to Hoggle's stand in Glitzville
- Various textures for objects seen inside Hoggle's stand
- The posters in the Glitz Pit
- The doors to the main arena in the Glitz Pit
- Most of the doors in the backstage hallway of the Glitz Pit
- Most of Rawk Hawk's non-default pose arms
- One of Rawk Hawk's eyes; the one partially obscured by his beak at any given time
- Grubba's raised arm from when he shouts 'BAAAAAATLE' before a match
- Jolene, in her entirety, both regular and juice bar versions
- The 'secret document' found behind the large block in the minor league locker room
- The cakes left for you in the major-league locker room in the Glitz Pit
- The unique colors of Magikoopa fought as 'The Magikoopa Masters'
- The Fire and Boomerang Bro
- Several small textures in the Champ's Room:
    - The letters in a box on the floor
    - The various presents
    - The picture of Rawk Hawk above the bed before you defeat him
       - The version with Mario used afterwards
    - The bed itself
- One or two pieces of 'tired' Macho Grubba
- Prince Mush, in his entirety

Chapter 4
  • The female Twilighter sprite used for a few characters, but Eve primarily
  • Eve's children
  • The Shop Manager and his Wife
  • The Window on the outside of Creepy Steeple
  • The front door of Creepy Steeple
  • The texture of the stump you come out of in the background of one of the forest screens
  • A lot of Doopliss' mouth textures
  • Doopliss' Parrot
  • The texture for Doopliss' eyes going white while in Mario's body when you guess his name right
  • The rose-decorated boxes unique to Creepy Steeple

I'll either update this post or make new posts as I go through more chapters. Also, this might just be a Dolphin Glitch or something related to OpenGL, but the emblem on Luigi's hat seems to only ever want to display the version for one of the two directions he can face. Regardless of which way he's actually facing.

EDIT: Oh, also, something more concretely fixable I noticed: The '4' in the enemy HP count textures is a little bit too big compared to all the other numbers.
EDIT 2: Added Chapter 4, also added Grifty to the Rogueport section. The minstrel needs some love
