Not a problem! As long as they get in there eventually.

On an unrelated note... WOW, I never realized how much smoother Dolphin handled with a .dds pack! I heard it'd be quicker to load, but I didn't expect all the textures to be loaded instantaneously! This is going to make going ingame to check on my work so much easier!

Brief update for ya'll. Recently added to my audience docket is the Bulky Bob-Ombs that Bighead got a bit of progress on, so they'll be done before the Dayzees. The audience Punis have been finished, and on the side I did the textures for the Jabbis (adult and baby) because they were thematically similar, and in doing this I'll have completed all the Chapter 2 NPCs.

Here is the new textures made by Repiteo converted to DDS BC7.
That's not the entire pack, just the last textures made by Repiteo.
Converted using custom texture tool made by BigHead.
My specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 x64
Processor/CPU: intel I7 3770 3.4 Ghz
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB
Memory/RAM: 16 GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 5.0-xxxx X64 (always the latest) and the latest Ishiiruka for custom textures.

I'm still learning english. Please, be patient with me. And, if i make a mistake, please correct me, i will learn a lot this way!  Big Grin

Shoutouts to Bighead for getting me started on these textures. I did end up making quite a bit of it from scratch anyway, but it made for a very nice reference point.

I'm going to be putting off the Dayzees once again, because I want to redo a lot of the Goomba audience textures. They don't hold up nearly as well as my other audience textures, so I should get them up to the quality I'm aiming for.

EDIT: Looks like I'm not only doing the Goomba audience, but the Goomba textures as a whole. A lot of the old textures were surprisingly unfaithful to the vanilla versions, so that'll have to be ironed out first.

Great to see these finished, it looks great. I don't remember if I ever shared the updated Boos that you made more symmetrical, and I think I deleted the files after I sent them to you, so when you upload your textures could you include those as well?

Hello!

First, I want to thank you all for making this HD texture pack. Out of all the popular GC titles, Paper Mario probably benefits most from one.
I have downloaded the latest version and played for about an hour. Most of it looks fantastic, the characters and enemies are professionally done. There is however one detail that started to bother me, and once I noticed it I couldn't unsee it. I'm talking about the hand-cursor in the battle screen. It consists of 13 textures, and you can find them in the \UI\Cursors folder.

What in the fuck? It may not look that bad here in isolation, but in the game they stick out like a sore thumb. They look like they were put together in 2 minutes by someone who didn't give a shit. No offense... It bothered me so much that I felt motivated to draw them myself (it was either that, or continue playing with the original low-resolution cursors). I'm not a pro by any means, and I have no clue about texture work in Dolphin. But I have rudimentary PS knowledge and used the path tool to draw over the original lines. I still don't like result, but I think they fit better into the game than the others. Feel free to use them if you want.

Some of them are the same or just rotated versions of others. I also don't know how to convert them into dds files.

Very nice first impression! You definitely show a fair bit of potential with how faithful that upscale was. I hope to see more from you!

Though seeing this did inspire me to do my own upscale, because it illustrates to me why 1-1 conversion attempts aren't always the most faithful means of making an HD texture. I'm not talking down your work at all, this just makes for a good general example that can apply to anyone reading this.

This is definitely rough around the edges, I wouldn't release this in its current state, but I hope that it can convey my point all the same. This interpretation of the hand uses the established rules of how other hand textures in the game work instead of attempting to upscale the original texture. The original texture was extremely compressed from the offset, making being faithful to colors difficult (none of the grey splotches were actually part of the glove based off the other textures, the compression in TTYD is really that bad) and making dimensions nearly impossible to replicate (the thumb and pointer finger looked like they were morphed together instead of having a clear divide).

For the most part, being 1-1 with an upscale is the ideal way to go, but in the case of textures that demand fine detail with a resolution of 64x64 or less, doing a lot of the work from scratch ends up making the finished product look more faithful to the source material than the original texture. This is the same mentality I use for the audience textures, and consequently why they end up taking me so long (oops), but the end result is much more satisfying.

Hi! Lovin' the update. Was wondering if you guys were gonna upgrade the Bombshell Bill. Basically the golden bullet bill found in Palace of Shadow.
