im getting 2 black bars everytime a dialog start do u know how to fix it? its really anoying. i know many ppl got this prob. ty

im not talking about the aspect ratio,

this is an example

this happen everytime a dialog start i saw alot of videos with this and alot without it. thats why im asking.


update: fixed, seams like its a problem with the widescreen hack it disapear after i turn that off. but u can still use your custom aspect ratio and strech to the window also auto ajust.

That's how the game is designed. (It does look odd that the bars don't extend to the sides of the screen, but the game was never to run in any aspect ratio other than 4:3.) Anyway, it's not related to any texture pack.

Trying using this AR Code:

I believe the issue you mention is the use of the Letterbox. While in cutscenes and transitions a part of the bottom and top of the screen are removed (which is probably for a cinematic feel). Due the game being in 4:3 format the Letterbox only goes so far as to fit the 4:3 format. The solution with using the AR code is that it removes the Letterbox completely. Keep in mind, you need the widescreen hack disabled and a proper 16:9 Widescreen Gecko Code such as:

These widescreen codes are found on the game's wiki page. These are all Gecko Codes. Use the code for the region you use.

it is compatible with the PAL version but updated textures containing text may not have been done in every language

Sorry if this has been asked before (I looked through like 15 pages without seeing a mention of it), but is there any way to get this to work in version 4.0? I'm aware they changed the format for how textures were loaded in one of the developmental builds, but I'm stuck with version 4.0 (or 4.0-5124, but 4.0 runs faster for me for some reason) because Macs don't support OpenGL 4.3, which is required for the bounding box now.
