Hey guys. I can safely say the tool to generate hashes for this game's textures is functional. Right now the files are not renamed automatically and the hashes aren't exactly in the "best" place, however they should all be correct. Instructions in the link below. Please try it out and let me know how well it works. Smile

I'm glad to see that progress has been made on this program! I myself am struggling with the 2nd step though, as it seems calculate_hashes.bat either isn't working, or isn't working in a way that I can see. Maybe I'm missing something, as this program does seem to not be in a user-friendly stage quite yet, so some help on that front would be appreciated.

Now that I'm on break the audience is once again getting steady progress made, though I want to point out something odd I discovered: simply blowing up the textures, making no other modifications whatsoever, makes the vanilla audience look so much better! Specifically, they look much sharper.

On that same front, the Toads and Goombas are completed and I'm currently working on the Shy Guys. Hopefully now that I've dabbled into this newer format of texture the others will go by much faster!

cool, i tried to fiddle around with a c++ version but couldn't get the hashes to match. even tried stopping through the dolphin code to see how it does it but dolphin's code is pretty far beyond my skills. sounds like it might need some fine tuning though

Hey everyone, I'm a new member to the forums but not to its content. I have been using this HD texture pack and more from this forum.
Today, I wanted to work on something fun for myself, and maybe interesting for the rest of the community. I, like many others, use an Xbox One controller with their Dolphin setups. As a graphic designer, I wanted to create textures that would be useful to everyone who uses said controller.

I came up with the idea today and decided to finish it as well.*
Here's what it looks like in game.

The A Button

All textures are finished for Paper Mario but I am also giving you the source files so that you can convert these images to any game of your choosing.**

*Take note, this was done in a day so things might be a little off but it's perfect for me

I found a romhack for this called TTHD+ http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3092/ which does a lot of delocalisation things and others that I quite like. Some of the textures are changed, however, for consistency with later games. Could you perchance include versions of these textures in HD?

I've seen this. Definitely looks cool. I haven't tried it, but as long as the delocalized textures are the same as the Japanese textures, the hashes should be the same.

If anyone wants to add textures for this hack feel free. It will be accepted. Wink

I'll look into it more a bit later.

that hack should work fine. the modified textures are there in the zip with dolphin custom texture names and everything. They are original resolution though so not much use unless they are remade.  the text fixes and such should work just fine with the texture pack already.
