This is my first go at creating a texture. Suggestions? When I export it from Illustrator, I chose 300 DPI when it was originally less, is that the correct way to go about doing it?

Ha, I didn't notice that. I think its a nose? It was just the first one on my list of textures to do. In hindsight, I probably could have done a different one for my first one haha.

You want the target resolution to be an integer upscale of the original resolution (dimensions * int). Most people choose x4 for 1080p or x8 for future proofing because it can always be scaled down anyway.

32x32*2=64
32x32*3=96
32x32*4=128
32x32*5=160
etc...

If your texture (32x32) has new dimensions of say 120x120 then it is off, as the upscaled factor is fractional (3.75). Dolphin will automatically scale the texture when loaded but I believe this makes it slower.

I always thought that the audience was the weakest part of this pack by far, and it seems that it was an area that many people were wanting to see fixed, but nobody wanted to take initiative on it. I'm changing that. I don't see how this pack could have a proper 1.0 release without an audience that's up to par with the rest of the pack, and now's as good a time as any to fix that!

And yes, I mean the whole audience. I'm gonna be spending a loooot of time on this one.

How many different audience members are there lol? Thanks for taking one for the team! Big Grin

There's 13 distinct audience members, and each have roughly 12 poses, give or take depending on special character quirks.

Based on that, I'd say there's about 160 textures to dig into.

I've already finished Toad, so that leaves 12 more to go.

Here is my second go. I followed that advice you gave and now I think I exported it as it should be, 192x192 as the original file was 48x48. Any suggestions or am I good to just go through more?

NELDE is bringing his Paper Mario 64 texture pack to Dolphin, and he could use some help! I figured the texture artists on this thread would like to know and could help him out. He was doing it on project 64 but there were some limitations so he's porting it to Dolphin instead. I'm super excited!!!
