So how exactly are they calculated then...

Also, when you say image data do you mean the raw pixel data or the compressed PNG's exported by Dolphin. I'm assuming the former, but not entirely sure.

With xxhash. (More specifically, Dolphin calls XXH64.) https://github.com/degasus/dolphin/blob/abb5a64919f0425db5f282803eda43b764282482/Source/Core/VideoCommon/HiresTextures.cpp#L277

The raw pixel data.

The raw pixel data.

Cool. Looks like I have some work to do... Tongue

Wow guys this is amazing! I've been playing Color Splash lately and got thinking of how I missed TYD and decided to look into an HD remake of sorts. This looks wonderful and I'm super glad I found it! It looks like you've gotten through quite a bit of the game, but I would like to help in anyway I can!

It would probably be helpful if we could get a public google sheet or something up where we can have a list of things that need to be done and get them checked off, if we can really get this going a little more I'm sure we'll have no problem finishing it all up a bit quicker.

Either way, you guys are awesome and I'd love to help! Let me know what I can do.

Sounds great! You should play this game again sometime. It's a brand new experience using this texturepack  Smile

I have the textures of some toad characters right here. They are Jolene and Prince Mush from the Glitz Pit. Give them a try!

Remember that the outlines are never 100% black. And to keep the 'space' between the texture and the border of the image.

Yeah, I'm at Chapter 6 Currently, and after thinking about it, I'm just going to tackle all the NPCs in this chapter, in addition to Smorg, given the only complete character is Pennington.

On that note though, are you still working on those Goldbomb family textures Sweezy? If not, I'll just make their textures as well.

I'm currently working on Magnus Von Grapple 2.0 (which I just finished) and currently finishing up the first Magnus. After that I'm going to be starting Cortez. If you can do the Golbomb family that would be nice.

I've actually been making attempts at this off and on trying to understand Dolphin's code but I'm awful at any actual programming, especially C++, so I usually just end up with a headache. I found that xxhash has a C# implementation so I had the idea to add it to my tool since PowerShell can use C# code natively without having to compile anything. I'm hoping with enough time and effort I'll figure it out eventually, but I can definitely say it gives me a lot more perspective on how talented Dolphin's programmers really are.

I was messing around with the python version myself. Probably a stupid idea because it (obviously) requires python to work. I got interrupted before I got very far. Do you know how to go about reading raw image data with imagemagick? If you knew it might help me a bit. If not, it doesn't really matter. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Finished the Smorgs and a few of the Excess Express assets. I'll be ideally finishing the remaining bulk either tomorrow or the day after.

In the meantime, I've been working on this little guy. I was rather surprised he didn't have a proper texture, so I wanted to tackle him before moving on.
