I actually made these button packs for my son and ended up playing so noticed a couple things. As for the buttons there are a couple textures missing from the HD pack:

Move-stick right (Displayed when Prof. Frankly teaches you about badges)
B button down (Don't know but it is in the PS2 button pack)

by the way, this HD texture pack is wonderful. I dont' know how anybody ever played without it!

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am having some wierd issues with the texture patch.

It seems like the texture isn't loaded for half the text bubble at the top.

Also the warning screen, when booting up, isn't loaded either for some reason

I am using the recommended setting for the game, but I also tried with store EFB in texture, both produce the same bug.

@munkbusiness Are you using the most recent version of the pack? I just checked both the archives and the textures are there. There was actually an old version where those textures were accidentally left out.
Either way I'd recommend redownloading the pack from the link in the OP. Maybe something got corrupted when the pack was downloaded.  Huh

It was 0.8b dds version I downloaded, is there a difference betwen png and dds besides the size?

Are you using the PAL version of the game? If so, there's a chance that those textures slightly differ from the NTSC-U version, and they would need to be dumped to get the filenames (at the very least).

Yeah I am running pal. I guess there are still some difference between pal and ntsc even with the new texture system.

To be fair there's not much the Dolphin developers can do about this, the blame lies in the game developers for making changes (although they may not have been intended in some cases). For example, maybe the output was somewhat different when it was compressed on the PAL disc. If there is even a single pixel that is different, then it will have a different hash when it is dumped. It's fortunate in this case that it's only a piece of the chat bubble and a message screen.

There is a problem with the textures for generic punies and for NPC lakitus.

The generic punies don't have HD textures when following you, but the one that talks to the puni girl during the cut scene does have the proper textures.
The lakitu texture doesn't show his goggles unless he open his mouth which makes the weird effect of his eyes flashing while he talks. This is in Glitzville.
