You can use them if you want.

Sure thing! Can you upload them with the hashes? If you ever want to upload a lot of textures be sure to zip it and use a file hosting site like MEGA, Mediafire, Dropbox, or something. It makes it easier that way.

Those were some of the earliest textures added to the pack. If you ever think that something in the pack could have been done better. You're free to make a replacement. Smile

Those tend to get put in pretty quickly... especially if what's being replaced is something of mine. Tongue

Whenever I enter a pipe or transform into a paper airplane, I seem to be getting slowdown.

When I tick "Disable Bounding Box", this fixes the issues, but then I start seeing graphical glitches.

Any idea how to fix this slowdown?

I'm not sure what you mean by "hashes". I assume they're the file names each texture are assigned to. If that isn't the case, correct me. Otherwise...

Thunder Rage is "tex1_40x40_15cbafb461634db2_14.png"
Stopwatch is "tex1_40x40_998ab73d69f0c2e8_14.png"

And next time I'll upload 'em to Google Drive.

Nice. Could you send me the original audience files if you still have them? Currently working on Weegie:

I'm only going to do so much, though. I have other things I'm working on other than this texture pack.

A few more environment textures, not very many as I haven't been working on this lately. These have been sitting on my hard drive for awhile, so I figured I may as well just share them. 8 new textures, some walls, the water waves in the jungle, and 3 are corrections or added details to previous ones.

...and some others. This one is my favorite.

Bounding box is required for these effects, and takes a rather strong graphics card. D3D11 is much faster for me than OpenGL, as in full speed vs 20 FPS faster. There's a PR where bounding box is added to D3D12 and seems to be even faster.

Nope you're correct, the hash is part of the filename.

Also I'm not sure at what scale you are recreating the textures at, but the unfinished Luigi looks rather blocky in your screenshot (although that could just be because it's zoomed in). I try to do at least a minimum of 4x, with the environments created at 8x. Most of the audience textures seem to be 64x64, so they should be recreated at a minimum of 256x256.

Not really sure if we're supposed to distribute original game files here... but I can give you link to Bighead's save files that would make them very easy to dump: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-paper-mario-ttyd-hd-texture-pack-v0-7a-february-28-2016?pid=376579#pid376579

No worries. Everyone that has helped so far is just doing so voluntarily, so this is to be expected. Smile

lol those audience textures are bad, those were some of the first characters i attempted. the audience members change poses pretty quickly and are small so you won't notice it so much in game. That painting is how the original looks, i couldn't find where it appears in game, but it's pretty much just a bigger version i made in 2 minutes. I think I'm getting better at character textures though here's bowser textures i'm working on right now. i won't embed them here they are pretty large Wink

also it seems that the 9 in the font texture has part of the letter under it in the texture showing. I think it was fixed a while ago, and is in one of the alternate font textures

EDIT:
i found the original texture for that painting in my dump folder. I'd say the high res version is a pretty accurate reproduction lol

I'm using the MSI GTX 970, should I really be getting this problem?? Also I tried it on D3D11 but there is still a slight stutter, not as bad as OpenGL though.

I didn't have this problem before, with my older AMD graphics card, which was much weaker than the one I have now.

farcry15: I meant no offense with the picture, I already knew it was an accurate representation of the original because after seeing it I sought it out in-game (appears in Mario's bedroom). But surely we can make an exception for it and come up with something better than ninty/intelligent systems did where it looks like a shot out of Adventure Time.

Also glad you brought up that issue with the 9, I noticed it time and time again and kept telling myself "I'll get to it in a bit" but never did. And it's a rather simple fix 2 second fix, so here it is. The issue was the top of the À was poking its way in.

Amon1995:
Nope GTX 970 should crush most uses of bounding box in this game except for a few instances, such as the boat at the beginning of the game, the elevators, and the train station between rogueport and poshley heights, but maybe there's something more going on in those places. For reference I play with 4x IR, and I do get slowdowns with the paper effects if I'm using SSAA anti-aliasing, but I don't get slowdowns using MSAA.

The slow down has to do with Atomics and Bounding Box being more accurate. So i dont know what Graphics card you have, but if you have an old generation AMD card, AMD cards dont handle atomics very well, and i had an amd radeon hd 6870 and when i turn up the IR, the game would slow down dramatically but since i upgraded to an Nvidia 680 classified with 4GB or ram, turning up the IR doesnt slow down the game for me. So with the new Bounding Box code, you need a powerful GPU preferably an Nvidia card since they handle Atomics better than AMD.
