More textures. But first, I cleaned up the main pack again now that I have a better understanding of where most things go. This is the same pack as the one on the first post: nothing added or removed (except some duplicates), some textures were just moved to different folders. I removed the "Items" folder and moved its contents to "Gear" since they are essentially the same thing and even contained many of the same textures. I also added a "Combat" folder to store some icons and stuff found in battle. Invader, when updating please use this pack as a base.

Also, the optional Gold Borders can probably be removed. The ones I fixed up are no different than the ones I found in the pack. My changes just extend the outer pixels which fixes this screen. The optional ones will break this because the borders are too small.

And the textures. Some more re-dos on stuff I didn't like, more party textures, and more UI textures. The most significant is the chat bubbles which some people may or may not like. The ones currently in the pack have a black border, but in the original textures they have a gray border. So, they are the same bubbles only with a gray border because I like my games to look vanilla only in HD.

So I was having a lot odd flickering problems with the texture pack so I updated my dolphin. Everything seemed went away and went perfectly in till when I go through a pipe or when I try to transform... This happens... [Image: HNzLBGw.png]

Edit: I found out what it was in the end of the day, just seems to be animation bug that can be fixed easily

Great job, I just love how this makes the game look.

I just really want to know, when do you guys think you'll be done with a full version? I was going to do a full playthrough on this game but thought I might as well wait until you guys have finished replacing the textures so I can play it with these beautiful graphics!  Big Grin

A "full" version, as in the entire game and every texture is not likely in the near future, as there are not too many people working on it at the moment. At least I think so anyway. And it takes a long time to get a significant amount of work done. Plus, I'm not sure how many more textures I'm going to do for this game. I try to share what I've done at least once a month, and I'm close to releasing my next batch of textures. Last batch had 480 textures, next one will have about 400 more. Smile Here's a sneak peak at some stuff that I haven't uploaded yet, don't mind the JPEG compression.

There isn't much UI left, all the significant parts of it are done, and the only party textures remaining are the Yoshi's and whatever hasn't dumped yet for the other characters. I have dumps for the pink Yoshi via a finished save file, and I'd like to do all colors, but it will have to wait until I get to that part of the game. And it will be slow, because I texture stuff along the way, so after months I'm not even beyond 2 hours in yet lol. And even then I may not be able to dump them all because their second abilities are not unlocked by default which usually dumps additional textures. Cheats might help there, not sure what's available. Could maybe hunt down some save files.

While I'm not yet ready to release my next works, I want to at least share some of my progress. So here are some before and after shots of most of the characters I've done, some of these are already in the current pack.

The goal before I release is for every character/enemy/item and almost every UI element to be fully HD for at least the entirety of the first chapter up until the "End of Chapter" screen, and to try to keep the look of the original game. I'm getting close, but it's taking a lot longer than expected. A single character can have anywhere from 10-40 textures, and I only have a few more to do.

Tons of new character textures, and also tons of other stuff that is not in those screenshots. Almost 1000 textures have been added. I have reworked the folder structure once again, lots of texture locations fixed, so things have moved around quite a bit. I think it's much better now and much more organized. I remade a lot of textures, so many that it seemed a little silly to offer them as "optional" textures since I don't think anyone will want to use a lower quality texture over a higher quality one. Many are just one-piece NPC textures lol. But I did not delete anything either, all textures ever in this pack are still there in a folder Optional >> Deprecated Textures if anyone wants to use them for some reason.

It will probably be some time before I can do anything huge like this again. I dream of someday eventually doing this entire game, but most of this was done in the past three weeks, and I've been off work these weeks and dedicated nearly every waking moment to get to this point. Unfortunately my savings are nearly up so I have to return which means I'll have a lot less time to work on this stuff again. I'll still do some textures here and there and make smaller updates like I did the months before, at least until I get tired of it. I still have at least 500 more textures set aside that I plan on doing (Peach is only half done for example, and I'd like to do Bowser, Kammy, and more), but doing those still won't even be close to tackling them all.
