Fault is probably mine. Let me start making up for it with a few missing textures for Koops, a small fix for Ms. Mowz, and textures for Vivian. I also plan on doing the rest of the party.

It's easy to make mistakes that's for sure, I am notorious for doing it in the Xenoblade pack. Tongue

Anyway I'm on a roll tonight so here's another update to the party. Adds Bobbery and some tweaks to Vivian's hat, since it lines up differently in the party screen and on the field I tried to compensate a little bit for both situations.

Those are really awesome! good luck with yoshi, there are 7 different versions of him (looks like just the hair and color changes)

Unfortunately, this breaks some of the textures. I used the alpha channel as a way of hiding some of the larger shapes/elements smoothly and as a way of keeping workflow (no copies, no deletions of original shapes, no need for rasterization in order to make editing easier if I happen to make mistakes, etc). This can be seen primarily on Doogan's jaw (though there may be others that are affected as well).

This is what is stopping me from simply doing a batch convert using Photoshop's batch action system (which would take less than thirty seconds). If anyone would like to take over that job (you have to select inverse of the alpha, merge all visible layers, then delete using the inversed alpha), feel more than welcomed.

Anyway, I am currently taking a break because of the whole .PNG thing. I am not really comfortable with the file type because I have mostly worked with textures from larger games, so I am used to DDS conversions and file setup straight from Photoshop (NVIDIA plugins and whatnot). I also like having full access to the alpha/transparency of an image as opposed to having it done through the file type. Being able to smooth out/fade an edge without actually altering an image is really useful; especially for more complex images.

More textures. Some party fixes and missing textures for mario, vivan, and goombella, Goomba textures, the black chest demon, his chat box (was not HD in my previous textures), fix to the gold borders, and some icon replacements that look a bit nicer and to better match the original ones. I probably won't get around to making more until next weekend.

@jsksjs: I honestly don't see much of a difference between the PNG and DDS images, maybe a few pixels along the inside edge but it's almost imperceptible. Can you show me what you mean because they all look fine to me.

Farcry already fixed the PNG images. If you look in the original PSDs for Doogan's jaw and snout, the images have full borders without fading. The images are actually bigger and different from the final product achieved with the alpha channel.

I've been working on some of the background clutter(bottles, etc...) that appear in the shops/tavern. the shading could be better, and some of the pictures are rotated or oddly stretched in some places they might appear.

any suggestions or should i leave it as is?
