This is my last contribution to this pack or any other texture pack, so i made it count.
Here's a preview of what you will find in this update (same 8x original size obsession of mine with the game looking crystal clear some 10 years from now, at 8x internal resolution)

Enjoy a bunch of new hi-q textures! I made some HUD elements that weren't in the SPM pack. You'll also find the fontmap i made long ago for SMSS and adapted to SMG1, SMG2, SPM and now PMTTYD (few characters differ from game to game).

There are also 2 photoshop files that can be used by the noobest photoshop user to retexture all the toads with ease (i even dumped some or the toads but definitely not all of them).
Lots of characters can be retextured using files from this pack or from SPM (mainly enemies such as: the Puffs, Ember and Phantom ember - coz i did the Lava Bubble for SPM, Bullet Bill, etc...).


G8ME01 final version

Feel free to use anything from any of my packs if you wanna retexture other (Mario) games (don't need credits, just use the files).

Because I still want to play this game eventually because I have yet to beat it, and I want to eventually contribute more to this pack and use it, when the custom texture change gets added to master, I'll merge in razius's work and fix a few things. That is, after updating the Xenoblade pack of course. So if someone beats me to it then that's fine with me. Right now this pack is in a bad place, there are textures causing glitches as bad as screen flickering (probably due to bad dimensions), duplicates from different accuracies, and some Mario mismatches with razius additions. The new texture format and converter will make this much easier to fix up, so it's probably best to wait until then.

@StripTheSoul: That is the work of Nelde, and it's been years in the making. No release yet unfortunately.

Aaah, ok, really good stuff there. You don't reckon we can get him over here for some GC & Wii retexturing? ^_^

Yeah, I guess it's best to wait for the final implementation of degasus stuff into master now. It sounded as if it won't take much more time. After that it'd be great if this pack got some more love. There's already very fine textures there.

Just want to mention this if it helps anyone. The screen flickering seems to only happen in dual core. Single core seems to be unaffected. Regardless, this shouldn't be happening at all. Undecided

I think i removed the Mario files in the last version i released (not sure) because i realized that Mario was already done but mainly because (yep, this is the real reason) it seems the Mario files i posted were the SPM ones in which the mustache and the sideburns are mapped in totally different places... derp).

Since i don't see anything wrong in sharing this, here i go. Back in December i asked Nelde if he'd be interested in taking over my SPM project (since the 2 games share some character textures and he already chose to rework some SPM/PM TTYD textures for his N64 project - awesome idea imo). He said that he's quite busy with his pack (and will be for quite some time).

 I then asked him about making his pack for the Virtual Console version of Paper Mario on Emutalk (since i don't use DeviantArt) but he rarely logs in there so it'll take a while till i get his answer on that. Maybe if a more prominent/active figure in the Dolphin community were to ask (cough [color=#c68e17]StripTheSoul[/color] cough cough friggin 7 stars too sexy cough cough)  ... he'll consider the idea.

Darth Vader voice: Come to the Dolphin side Nelde, we have your game on VC and such awesome awesomeness of settings PJ64 dare not dream of.
