If it's bounding box causing the crashes, it can be disabled in the graphics settings. But looking at your system I can almost guarantee you will not have a pleasant experience in this game. Especially without bounding box. I occasionally still find places with massive slowdowns. It took an overclock of 4.6GHz to smooth out the sideways paper ability in every area, and it can still dip to 57 FPS in some spots. At stock 3.3 I was averaging 50 FPS for that effect. Two of the best examples of nuclear meltdown are the elevators at Riverside Station and the Poshley Heights hotel (not sure why), and that robot enemy you encounter during level 91-99 in the Pit of 100 Trials that has a cloaking effect. When he cloaks then multiplies into 5, I prepare for a slow motion fight.

OK nevermind. I guess the game will forever be lost to me. Sorry to bother everybody. I won't ask anymore questions and just forget about playing the game.

hey, they gave you legitmate solutions that it doesn't seem you actually tried. don't be pouty, these guys don't get paid to develop.

I'm not getting all pouty. Bighead said that the game would NEVER be run in a playable way for my computer based on my specs. But I will get the MD5.

It might be possible to get it to be playable with enough effort. I was referring more to it being enjoyable which is going to be relative to your own tolerance of graphics related glitches and slowdowns. This just happens to be one of the few games that use bounding box which is very expensive to emulate (both hardware efficacy and financially ), using either software or hardware methods.

I can deal with it glitching as I did manage to play the prequel on Project64 and that had some glitching also. I just can't deal with it being incredibly slow.
I will post the MD5 tonight. |
