so i cant get past the intro cut scene. well let me explain, so everything runs fine until i get to the part where you press a to make the boat go off the screen. the screen goes white for a couple of seconds it crashes. this doesn't happen with any other game i run. so what do i do?

You should make your own thread for this. This one is over 6 months old, and your issue is different than the one originally described.

Try the latest dev build, the 5.0 stable is outdated. And update your specs in your profile. "Windows x64" is not very helpful.
