Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Widescreen hacks and HD textures not working

I don't know why, but neither the widescreen or the texture packs work for my game. I followed this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz2iFfcg7mE ) perfectly and nothing. When I try to even load the widescreen hack it doesn't let me use my PS4 controller that I use over Bluetooth with DS4 Windows. The texture pack just does nothing. I even tried doing this with both the EUR and USA versions of the game.
