Hi there everyone!

I haven't used the Dolphin emulator for a few months, and I just updated it the other day. Which fixed a bunch of issues I was previously having with Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. However since I have updated it, I have a new issue. Where it will randomly cause an error to appear that says.

'Create failed in C:\buildbotzrelease-win-x64\build\Source\Core\VideoBackends\D3D12\DX12Texture.cpp at line 113: Crate D3D12 texture resource.' With the options of 'Ok' and 'Ignore for this session', if I press ignore it will either continue fine or crash and if I press ok. It will keep popping up until it crashes. It only happens in battles as well, it never happens running around in the different environments.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the fix for this issue? I don't know if it does it with any other game, as I've just been getting back into Paper Mario. So I don't know if it's a widespread issue or something happening with just the one game.

I managed to get a screenshot of the error, just in case! I'm not sure if it will appear after approval or if I need to add it in after, but I will update it to show!

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Edit: Dolphin just updated again, so I'm going to test it and I'll report back if it still happens!

Edit 2: It was fine for a while, but it just crashed again.

Edit 3: It crashed again but this time it gave me two error boxes after the first one, that say

'GFX FIFO: Unknown Opcode (0x24 @ 0x120a537cb8, preprocess = false).
This means one of the following:
*The emulated GPU got desynced, disabling dual core can help
*Command stream corrupted by some spurious memory bug
*This really is an unknown opcode (unlikely)
*Some other sort of bug

Further errors will be sent to the Video Backend log and Dolphin will now likely crash or hang, Enjoy.'

Apologies for the double post, I've done some more testing the last few days. Pokemon Colosseum works perfectly, I don't get any error messages with that. I'm able to play it fine, with occasional frame drops but I think it's normal. I just tried Gale of Darkness XD and within seconds of the intro cut scene, I got the same error messages as Paper Mario.

I tried turning off Duel Core, but the performance hit was too much. It was just too slow. So I'm wondering, if there are any other fixes to this without having to disable Duel Core? It only started happening after I updated Dolphin. So it may be a case of downgrading.

There is an option in the game properties call synchronize gpu thread that might help if checked. There also try updated graphic card drivers or trying different graphic back ends also. Verify you iso using the game properties might help.

Thank you so much for the replay themaster123, I updated my graphics drivers recently but this happened before I updated. I'm going to try Direct3D11 as I had it on 12. So maybe that might fix it.

I found the game properties but Synchronise GPU is switched on and Verify found no issues.
