Hello everyone,

I really couldn't find anyone else who has/had this problem in the forums. The thing is that after I unlock the Punie Elder's cage with the Red Key, it just does nothing. I mean the Punie that should talk to the elder (I forgot his name) is practically invisible so the game gets stucked.

I also noticed that the other punies I should see in the other cage are also invisible:

Here's the picture that tells my problem better than I did:

Also, I can see MrApocalisse, which is also a member of these forums had the same problem. Here's his YouTube movie:

YOUTUBE LINK!!!

Please help me. If you have any ideea how to solve this, feel free to post. I apologize if a topic about this already exists but I couldn't find it using the search button.

MY SPECS:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit Beta
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.02GHZ
RAM: 2GB DDR2
VIDEO CARD (I'll just mention the chipset): Nvidia GeForce 9800GT 512MB DDR3

Dolphin version ( I downloaded the SVN version and compiled it with Visual C++ 2008 Express edition. It gave me some compile errors though but I doubt it's because of that Smile ). Picture of my Dolphin:

I've used Dolphin x64 R3207 to pass that part. the invisible punies are not yet fixed. maybe they will fix it in the future revisions....

Thank you for your answer!! I don't know how but it inspired me to do something I haven't thought about.

FOR THE ONES STILL ENCOUNTERING THIS PROBLEM:

Download this Dolphin 3286 I atached to the post and copy your Memory Card file from "Your Normal Dolphin directory\User\GC\" to "The Dolphin you downloaded from here directory\User\GC\" It's name should be something like: MemoryCardA.USA or MemoryCardB.USA (I suggest copying both). Now just load the game in the DolphinIL.exe you downloaded from here, load the save and it works! Sorry if I didn't explain well.

Contact me at: dunaalexdan@yahoo.com so I can explain you better what to do.

THANK YOU AGAIN kevlanhota!

I have posted the solutions to the seriously annoying Punie problem in chapter 2 and the equally annoying Toad/Pianta problem in chapter 5 on the dolphinwiki site (under Paper Mario:TTYD of course), but I will paste my solutions here as well:

Chapter 2 - The Disappearing Punio/Invisible Punie Problem (MINOR SPOILER ALERT): In the second chapter during the Great Boggly Tree dungeon, you come across two adjacent cells (one contains the Punie elder, the other contains 90 Punies). After you receive the red key to open the elder's cell and attempt to open it, you will most likely come across a very frustrating problem: Punio will disappear and leave you stuck in a zoomed-in screen, hindering any further progress in the game. Many frustrated Dolphin users have been searching for a fix to this graphical issue, but seemingly to no avail. There is a specific revision of Dolphin that WILL allow you to progress through this frustrating glitch however: DolphinIL SVN R4707. In this revision of Dolphin, players should find that Punio remains visible during the "cell-opening cutscene" and allows the game to continue normally. Unfortunately though, this revision does not fix another VERY frustrating problem: All but the main NPC punies (Punio, Elder, Puniper & Petunia) will be invisible the entire time, making it very difficult to manage all 101 of them throughout the long dungeon. The framerate will also suffer a significant drop in this dungeon, probably due to the amount of Punies (well, Punie shadows) following you around.

Chapter 5 - The Glitchy Toad/Pianta Problem (MINOR SPOILER ALERT): Near the end of the fifth chapter (right after the boss fight against Cortez) you find yourself forced to blow your way out of the Pirate's Grotto in the previous area before the boss which is filled with toads and the Pianta lovers. In most cases players will find that most of the toads (like the Punies in chapter 2) are invisible. When you blow through the crack in the wall with Bobbery a cutscene plays, showing the toad next to the hole attempting to leave the cave and suggesting everyone else do the same. Now here this problem seems to vary depending on the specific build of Dolphin you're using, but in any case during the "escape sequence", one of the visible characters will suddenly start glitching back and forth and will halt you from progressing any further (you do not regain control of Mario until all the others have escaped). Once again, DolphinIL SVN R4707 is the remedy, however in this case even using this revision the bug will still occur. Now to get through this troublesome glitch using R4707, all you have to do is continuously tap A until all of the characters have proceeded through the hole.

So basically all you need to do is google "Dolphin R4707" and find a DL, then run DolphinIL.exe not Dolphin.exe.

Also, I'd like to note that R4714 also works for chapter 2 as I used this revision from the beginning of the game up to the end of chapter 5.

Hey.
I've another problem with the punies. In the big fight, my punies die really fast and when some low number like 9 is reached, the fight stops and no one is fighting anymore. Don't know if there are still punies alive because they're invisible. I'm using Dolpin 2.0, latest build on the official site. I hope someone can help me.
And sorry for my bad english. ^^

If you are in the fight against 100 bees, you need 100 punies. There is still a chance to lose though (I think maybe 50%). Try again untill you win.
