Hello, I would like to know how PAL games are dealt within Dolphin. PAL is 480i or 576i, so my question is more about how Dolphin deals with interlaced content, does it deinterlace at all?

It's not sending it out to the monitor encoded as PAL, so it never needs to be de-interlaced as it was never interlaced in the first place.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X RAM: 16GB GPU: Radeon Vega 56 06-15-2014, 10:02 PM
Dolphin doesn't need to deinterlace anything, as the games aren't rendered at 480i/576i

I see, so interlacing is done at console level, not stored inside game. I guess there's no drawback then to use PAL games if I'm only going to emulate them.
Thank you. |
