I have the latest SVN revision (r6882) and I am having trouble with gamepad controller. It loads the current plugin fine, but I can't configure all of my buttons/axies! Using Windows Game Controller Manager in Windows Control Panel, all buttons and Axies are working properly, but in Dolphin, only forward Main Axies will respond on my NGC controller. I have a Gamemon GC to USB adapter that works with all other games that I configure it for, so I know it's not the controller or the Adapter. I also noticed that dolphin does not give the option to change Controller PAD Plugin's anymore that I can find. Can anyone have any idea why I would have these such problems? Any help is well appreciated... I have also tried revision r6871 and given me same result...

Have you tried both the "SDL" and "DInput" listings for your gamepad in the device list?

Yes I have. Both give me the same result. And I've gotten another response telling me that plugin have been disabled for the gamepad on the newer revisions of dolphin.. Undecided The GCPad is the only, integrated GamePad controller not for Dolphin... What could be going wrong then? Microsoft's "Game Controllers" in Control Panel showes all directions working properly with no issues what-so-ever. The only thing that is wrong on the MS Game Controllers is the "Half-Trigger" doesn't register, but that's in the drivers.... IDK.. I'm hesitant on purchasing a new GC to USB adapter because I'd rather not spend the money on one and then find out later that it wasn't the adapter/driver having compatability issues with dolphin and the new one doesn't work right either.. Undecided IF it helps anyone, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit on a HP dv7-1285dx laptop with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (2.40GHz) and 6GB of RAM (Comes stock with 64 bit, but I am dual-booted with a secondary HD). The drivers for my current adapter are the most up-to-date drivers straight from the Manufacturer's website....

Have you tried 32 and 64 bit dolphin?
Perhaps your gc/usb adapter has poor 64 bit drivers.

It's highly unlikely that not even your buttons work with either the SDL or DInput interfaces.
Honestly, It sounds like you are doing it wrong.

Select your device and right-click one of the input detect buttons, you should get a new dialog box.
Are all of your buttons/axes listed? Do they work if you manually select one?

If no...
Are you able to play with the keyboard?
Are you able to reconfigure the keyboard keys?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but im having the same problems when trying to use my GC controller, I can configure and select all buttons, but for some reason Dolphin will not recognise any of the sticks C-Stick or Analogue.

It seems it will work with the NJoy plugin but I cant seem to find a way for Dolphin to allow me to select it as the pad plugin.

This is getting really frustrating now so all help is appreciated!

Thanks

Sorry, yeah good point.

Basically after some fraffing about im getting slightly closer and now the issue is calibration.

When Windows has its default settings it can see the pad no problem, use all buttons and sticks as intended too, however when windows is in default settings with the pad Dolphin cannot detect the sticks at all.

After calibration Windows seems to think all sorts of things are being pressed when simply just using the sticks, in Dolphin the same applies it can now see the sticks however one stick has an impact on the other making games impossible to play.

So what do I need? Well, firstly can someone confirm during calibration which test refers to which button and/or how in idiots terms! im meant to calibrate the pad properly.

Many Thanks
