Pad plugin problems

I just downloaded the Plugin_PadSimple.dll plugin for Dolphin so that I could use my keyboard as a controller, but I have no idea how to implement it. I'm using Dolphin SVN R 3402 on an HP Pavilion laptop with Core 2 Duo processor and Windows 7. I know next to nothing about programming or the inner workings of Dolphin, but help would be nice.

Thanks

Hi

Not a specialist here but what I did is to simply add the dll in the Dolphin install folder called "Plugins".
You should also try to update your Dolphin and others related things (directX, MS visual C etc...) before trying to launch the program.

It's in there now, but for some reason the thing can only detect Plugin_nJoy_SDL.dll which, if I remember right, only works with some kind of external controller. I already have the latest DirectX ans MS Visual C++, but the program still gives me a lot of trouble.

thanks

So you're saying it wouldn't work with a later version or that I should get a later version? I already have 9, but I could easily get 10 or 11.

Microsoft DirectX Updater
Mm....The Directx March 2009. Has fixed many people problems. Like the pad or wiimote plugins not appearing. You just have to follow that link and see if in the plugins list the X360-Keyboard plugin shows up.

I already have that one, too, but it still won't pick up padSimple.

By switching from a Dolphin version to another and putting a maximum of plugins into Dolphin's plugins folder, I had different plugin showing up.
Try to move from a version to another if you already have patched DX and installed MSVisual...
The last build I have installed recognize only two pad plugins while the previous one showed me 4/5 ones.
