Overclocking help!

Actually macs don't use a bios. They use efi.

99% certainly it has a lame, patronising locked bios that doesn't allow changing anything except booting order of drives.

If your bios is locked (as is probably the case) your last resort could be trying software solutions like clockgen. Might not work but it's worth a shot if nothing else is possible.

Fortunately GPU is independent of a crappy bios. You can oc, control fan speed with your 4550 through atitool or evga precision normally (as far as it's specs allow)

Anyways i got a new computer and need help overclocking. (by the way, i really appreciate all the help u guys have given)

Windows 7 x64
LOCKED BIOS Sad

4GB Ram (Stock)
1TB Hard Drive
AMD Athlon II X4 635 Quad-Core
Ati Radeon HD 5570

Need to find if your Motherboard is compatible with ClockGen , otherwise , you're screwed (i think)

i could be wrong about this but the last time i checked clockgen hadn't been updated since like 2006 or so. so, if you have a halfway decent pc don't expect it to work.

you could fork the cash for a motherboard that is ocable. the cost wouldnt be worth the performance gain tho.
