So I've been testing putting a lot of games into VR - especially old console games - not using Dolphin VR but the actual mainstream Dolphin client.
One thing I'm wondering about is if anyone (maybe the Dolphin devs?) have any information on the Wii or Gamecubes video output.
I know I am able to take the video output from Dolphin and turn that into a 3d two screen image (with depth and everything) when in OpenGL mode and it works in my VR glasses. My guess is that that means the output from the actual Wii can be made to do this as well.
Does anyone know anything about how the output from the Wii to TV works? Could I replicate, using custom hardware (a raspberry pi, perhaps, or piping the output through my desktop in order to perform some arbitrary operation on it) the process I am using on top of Dolphin?
Feel free to be technical - I am a software developer. I just don't have much experience in the console space.
