Hello everyone!

There is a Message on the wiki that is bothering me:

Progress Continues
We've already had 8466 updates since Dolphin 5.0. Keep up with Dolphin's continuing progress through the Dolphin Blog. This month we catch up on the February and March Progress Report we missed providing last month.

But the latest report is the June 2018 Progress Report.
Is the automated system broken, or gets this manually updated?

It would be awesome to see that fixed. It's just one small imperfection in an otherwise awesome wiki.

Yours faithfully,

Kimishima

Okay, thank you. Wouldn't be an automated system better?

Automated everything would be better, can you find somebody with the time and motivation to design, implement and (most importantly) maintain it? Wink

Mhhh... some kind of javascript or PHP script that searches in the first Blog-Post HTML element for the title would probably work.
That's at least the most cost and time efficient solution I can come up with, or is there any reason that's not possible. Confused

I do some research and present a solution if I find any (and if you want to). I hope that I can get it done by tomorrow. Undecided Wink

I found the element. I've noticed that the version number counts up automatically, but there is no script for this in the HTML script itself, which means some server checks the current number (or the server gets the information at the same time a new Version gets released). How is that being done and isn't it possible to check the current Progress Report string in a similar way?

Thank you for your time and attention by the way. I know that there are much more important problems to solve.

You know you could use the RSS/Atom feeds to get those instead of parsing the HTML? Tongue

Confused Oh, I didn't know that.Undecided How can I access the RSS or Atom feed? (I've never done that before Big Grin ) EDIT: The only RSS/Atom feed I have access to is the 'recent changes' feed, but I am only able to see the code regarding the changes and not the message itself. Probably just admins have the needed rights. It's okay if we close this topic since the priority for that "issue" is understandably really really low. XD

Your Web Browser should've shown you this when going to the blog page. But yeah, the recent changes also make sense for the revision number.

We have automation in place to handle updating the revision related text, but the blog linkages require maintenance.
