I noticed that no one has been able to get this working with OSX, and I wanted to share how I was able to get it working. I am running OSX Lion 10.8.3 and Dolphin 4.0 (latest stable)

1.) First you need to do the initial connection so add new bluetooth device and connect.

When it asks for the pairing code, change option to this device does not require a code.

At this point your Wii Controller should be connected with all four lights blinking.

2.) Now go ahead and tell it to disconnect.

3.) Open dolphin emulator, and start a rom.

For me I used Zelda, Skyward Sword. Do not attempt to connect the Wii Controller until the screen reaches the screen where it says having trouble communicating with controller.

4.) At this point hold 1+2 buttons and this will automatically connect Wii Controller to your Mac. Dolphin will automatically connect the Wii Controller. You should have a rumble and see Wii Controller connected.

Note: you will not have to do this again until you close dolphin again, but you will need to follow this process every time you open dolphin for it to connect.

Note: if you disconnect nunchuck or if game asks you to insert nunchuck - Dolphin will not recognize this so you may have to repeat the process.

So far I've had full functionality with it and no issues what soever.

Also on another note, a hack for the IR bar. Just use a couple of regular tea candles at the bottom of the TV spaced around 12-14 inches apart from one another and the Wii Controller will pick them up for Wii Motion.

Enjoy Smile Hopefully you can mark that one off the list as not working.

Hey awesome! I have a few quick questions for you about this:

*What happens if you don't pair it up beforehand?
*What is your OSX version?
*Just to confirm, no special drivers or any weirdness, just normal, ordinary OSX bluetooth?
*What is your bluetooth adapter? Built in bluetooth or purchased dongle?
*1+2 works on OSX? Seriously?! It doesn't work on Windows OR Linux!

Ok so if you don't pair it beforehand basically it's just not going to register with the Mac so it won't be connected.

Nothing special actually it's an Asus BT-211 dongle which is not even supported by OSX natively (bought it before knowing this) so to get the basic Bluetooth kext I just installed the drivers on VMWare Windows 7 and that allowed it to be used by the Mac natively with generic Bluetooth kext. Really it should work with any Bluetooth dongle that will register and work on Mac.

My OS is Lion 10.8.3
