Hello,
im new to this forum and to the emulation scene.

I saw some Videos on YouTube where people played some gc/wii games on his Mac. I finally decide to do this too.

So i downloaded some days ago the emulator and tried to play a game. I have tried firstly Wind Waker.

Now my Problem.
I saw Videos on YouTube where people have 60fps and more wich a bad mac. I only get 30fps with a new mac. What is the problem how can i fix it?
Then i tried some Wii Games, SMNB doesnt even start...

Are here people with OSX and Dolphin experience ?

sorry for my bad english.

Greetings,
Aeh

Wind Waker is only supposed to run at 30FPS.

Please download the latest Dolphin revision and post the Md5 hash.

I will do it when im at Home.
Okey, then i can understand the "low" fps rate.
But the next problem is I have often soundlags and drops down to 15. So its unplayable :/

Im home in 3 hours, i will post a md5 hash then Smile

Btw. here is my Setup please say some word to it

MacBook Pro 2012 15"
i7-3720QM
8GB RAM
GeForce GT 650M

In my eyes this is good.

Greetings,
aeh

In some cases try lowering your internal resolution, as well as any form of anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering you have and see if the framerate still goes down. Also, do you have your laptop at maximum performance?
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.

Try turning off the dedicated video card and use the integrated graphics. Mac's overheat super fast especially while using integrated card.

Yes.
The most Videos i saw was with Dolphin 3, so i think the Dolphin 4 Release isn't so well like the old one.

@sektor, Im sorry but i never used Windows and I will never Install Windows on my Mac. Normally im only working on this machine so i don't need game thinks. But i sold my wii 1 year ago and i wanna play some games, that was the only reason.
But this reason isn't so important.

Im finally figured out how i can play on well performance the AA tip from linker357 was the key.
Thanks Smile

Dolphin 3.0 has random game-breaking and crashing bugs that are fixed in Dolphin 4.0 and above.
Mac drivers are terrible because they design them themselves instead of using them from Nvidia. So lower the IR and AA/AF to see if you get the same performance as Dolphin 3, and then bring them back up until you hit the slowdowns.
