I am trying to play Sonic: Unleashed (and every game too) with OpenGL. it crashes after the Wiimote warning screen.

it not just crashes the game, but the whole emulator. it stops responding after the game crashes.

how can I play that game with OpenGL crashing every time?

here is all the specs I can find of my computer

Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M Graphics Card
Windows 8 Dell Inspiron Laptop

Dude this does not happen too me it is probably a graphics driver problem or a dolphin setting problem.

well, it is working fine on version 3.5-367.

I just checked the release announcement info. it says something like this:

"OpenGL video backend rewrite
The Dolphin OpenGL video backend was rewritten by Markus Wick in order to use newer features of OpenGL and be GLES3 compatible. As a result, the OpenGL backend is now the fastest Dolphin video backend on NVIDIA cards."

could this be the problem? because my graphics card is fine.

but on version 3.5-2194. it does the same thing. my graphics driver is up to date.

I am using the same settings as 3.5. and both emulators have different results. (which is very close to the default settings. just a little change to emulator's look, not the way it runs.)

I only change my settings according to the Wiki. in the graphics' enhancements tab, I never changed it. it's the same since I downloaded the program.

Definitely not, I have a laptop similar to yours and OpenGL work fine... If you're using the drivers that came preinstalled, they probably are OEM and may have some modifications, I suggest you installing the nVidia drivers again (download directly from nVidia website)...

well I can't tell if it is OEM. because one day I had problems with my graphics and HD and had to send the computer the factory for repairs via Geek Squad. they replaced my HD, but I did not know if they replaced my graphics card.

EDIT: I thought I had a 900M series graphics card before I bought it.

Well, I don't know if this is possible, because the GPU generally is soldered in the motherboard. Are you sure that Dolphin is running in the dedicated nVidia card?

yes. I tried setting my graphics adapter to my NVidia card and it still crashes.

I originally had it set to "Intel® HD Graphics 4000". and that crashes also.

Sounds like corrupted drivers. I would remove the drivers entirely and install nvidia released drivers fresh.

I have the same issue. Am using dolphin 4.0.2 with 2x Nvidia Geforce GTX550ti (SLI) Everytime I try OpenGL as soon as I launch the game I too get an instant crash. and d3d does not have working vsync anymore. we need a new dolphin update to resolve the situation as I have tried this with various drivers (including latest ones) with NO LUCK.
