I have downsized laptops for work and got a new one with:

7th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.5 GHz)

NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX with 2GB GDDR5

16GB Single Channel DDR4 2400MHz

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

256GB Solid State Drive

I have noticed whilst it runs Directx 11 & 12 fine, anytime I use OpenGL, it produces sound but the no image, giving me a black screen. I don't understand what is causing it. Any suggestions ?

What build are you using?

I get a black screen using OpenGL on >=5.0-1374 when anti-aliasing is enabled. The issue is not present in 5.0-1366.

Hey thanks for your replies guys. I had the latest drivers and Dolphin development of the time 5.0-1420 but since installing 5.0-1422 seems to be working again

Hmmm, I just tried 5.0-1422 and I'm still getting a black screen. I also have the latest drivers.

As mentioned before AA can cause problems. Try running without AA and with the latest development build

Since no one has said this reset your dolphin settings and possibly nvidia too.

I know a similar thing happened on the crappy intel hd 4000 drivers where you could only launch the opengl backend if it was the first initialized (maybe even after switching from d3d11 to opengl before launching a game didn't work? I had to choose opengl and reboot dophin)

I have tried that. Someone else seems to be experiencing the same issue and reported this on the bug tracker.
