OpenAL32.dll Error

Got Dolphin Emulator a while ago, however when I launched it it popped up with the following message: "The program can't start because OpenAL32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

Listed are what I've attempted to do to fix it:

*Checked to see if I still had the OpenAL32.dll (in case I accidentally deleted it)

*Ran a full system check with my antivirus, no virus or malware found.

*Made sure OpenAL32.dll hadn't been configured (At least not by me)


I realize this error is related to my PC and NOT Dolphin, but I was hoping I could find someone who had the same problem.

This may sound like a stupid question... but did you extract dolphin from the zip file? There's absolutely no reason this error should pop up, as the .dll is included in Dolphin. That's all I got.

Nope. Dolphin is still in the .zip file. I have experience using emulators on my PC soooooo yeah. Thanks anyways!

Yeah, sorry if I didn't make it clear. Dolphin needs to be unzipped!

I faced with similar error and i solved it by downloading this file from http://fix4dll.com/openal32_dll. Just place it in your Dolphin folder and windows/system32 folder and your software will work fine. It's the easiest way to fix this error that i found in the internet.

Please don't download DLLs from random websites to your system32 folder

Like the others said, the proper way to solve this is to extract the entire Dolphin archive, not just the executable.
